In reference to the article in Q&A
part 4 on issue #18, by Schoeppel
92083:
I also have experienced this sound
problem on paperless pages. Sometimes
I get sound and sometimes I don't. I
have tried 2 different C-64's and
several disks but not a different
disk drive. I have tried pressing "Q"
and "M" but when pressing "M" I just
hear a sharp snap like the volume is
turned on. Other times the same disk
might work fine!

In re: Loadstar issue number labels
peeling off - this has happened to me
several times, so far with no ill
effects. But now I peel the label
off before I use the disk and mark
the number with a soft-point felt tip
pen. Note to Loadstar: How about
rubber-stamping the number on the
Loadstar label?

Re Pickett 34091:
Have you looked at the Hush-80 CD
it is small (about the size of the
SX-64 keyboard, maybe a little
bigger) and it is inexpensive and
light-weight and compatible with the
64, but it is a thermal printer and
you have to use special paper for it.
The paper is available from most
major stores and the Hush-80 CD, being
a thermal printer, is very quiet.
